RITES Ltd, an Indian consultancy and engineering firm specializing in transport infrastructure, has entered into a formal partnership with UAE-based Etihad Rail and its subsidiary, National Infrastructure Construction Company. The agreement, signed recently during the Global Rail Transport Infrastructure Exhibition & Conference in Abu Dhabi, is intended to enhance collaboration in mobility and infrastructure projects across the UAE and other regions.
The MoU combines RITES' extensive five decades of experience in consultancy, transport infrastructure, and engineering solutions with the execution expertise of National Infrastructure Construction Company. This synergy aims to create a robust framework for shaping significant infrastructure projects in the region, strengthening project execution and strategic planning capacities.
The MoU signing was carried out by H.E. Shadi Malak, CEO of Etihad Rail, and Rahul Mithal, Chairman and Managing Director of RITES Ltd., in the presence of His Highness Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of Etihad Rail, and the Ambassador of India to the UAE, H.E. Sunjay Sudhir.
This collaboration reinforces RITES' international expansion initiative, 'RITES Videsh', reflecting its strategic focus on broadening global presence and securing international infrastructure opportunities. Earlier this year, RITES had also signed MoUs with DP World and Abu Dhabi Ports, demonstrating a continued commitment to enhancing its global portfolio and fostering cross-border partnerships. The partnership positions RITES to contribute effectively to the development of major infrastructure projects, leveraging its expertise and international collaborations.
