The project is expected to aid Maharashtra's green energy transition and sustainability targets.
Vikram Solar has bagged a significant 250 MW solar module supply order from Bondada Group for a renewable energy project set to be developed in Maharashtra. Although the value of the contract has not been revealed, the order adds to Vikram Solar's growing portfolio of large-scale projects, further solidifying its status as one of India's top-tier manufacturers recognized under the ALMM framework.
As part of this collaboration, Vikram Solar will provide its latest N-Type modules, which are engineered for superior energy yield and enhanced performance. These high-efficiency modules are scheduled for delivery in the fiscal year 2025-26 and will be deployed across the Maharashtra site, contributing to the state's push toward sustainable energy development and carbon reduction.
The company noted that this partnership is not just a commercial milestone but also aligns with its broader commitment to advancing India's renewable energy ambitions through innovation and expanded manufacturing. Vikram Solar, headquartered in Kolkata, currently holds a total PV module production capacity of 4.5 GW in FY25.
Gyanesh Chaudhary, Chairman and Managing Director of Vikram Solar, emphasized that each project undertaken by the company represents the trust their partners place in their technology and execution. Echoing similar sentiments, Bondada Group's Chairman and Managing Director, Bondada Raghavendra Rao, highlighted that the firm has over 3 GW of ongoing projects and continues to expand its infrastructure pipeline through reliable partnerships like this one.
This project is anticipated to make a meaningful impact on Maharashtra's renewable energy capacity, playing a key role in supporting the state's clean energy goals and driving sustainable development.
