Juniper Green Energy has signed a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd (GUVNL) for a 100 megawatt (MW) wind power project in Gujarat. The agreement, executed through its subsidiary Juniper Green Bess Two Pvt Ltd, was finalized on July 18. This project is scheduled to begin supplying power from July 2027. With an additional 50 MW Letter of Intent (LoI) also recently received from GUVNL, Juniper Green Energy is strengthening its presence in Gujarat's renewable energy sector, aligning with India's sustainable energy future.
Juniper Green Energy recently announced it has signed a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd (GUVNL) for a 100 megawatt (MW) wind power project. This agreement marks a step in the ongoing development of renewable energy in Gujarat.
The 25-year agreement was executed through Juniper Green Energy's subsidiary, Juniper Green Bess Two Pvt Ltd. The project, falling under this PPA, will be located in Gujarat and is scheduled to begin supplying power from July 2027. The agreement between the Juniper Green Energy arm and GUVNL was formalized this month on July 18.
Ankush Malik, Chief Executive Officer of Juniper Green Energy, stated that they were proud to partner with GUVNL to deliver sustainable wind power with the signing of the 100 MW PPA. He added that with an additional 50 MW Letter of Intent (LoI) also recently received from GUVNL, Juniper Green Energy is strengthening its presence in Gujarat. This LoI was received on July 14, following the company's successful bid under GUVNL's wind tender issued in January 2025.
