In a significant step towards providing affordable housing, 679 houses have been successfully completed under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) in Bhaderwah, Jammu & Kashmir. This achievement, part of the central government's initiative to house underprivileged families, marks a notable milestone in rural infrastructure and welfare for the region. Bhaderwah Block Development Officer Yasir Ahmed W confirmed the completion, highlighting the government's commitment to "Housing for All," with a special focus on improving living conditions for poor and tribal families who previously resided in unsafe dwellings.
A significant milestone has been reached in Jammu & Kashmir with the successful completion of 679 houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) in Bhaderwah. This initiative by the central government aims to provide homes for underprivileged families, bringing a notable improvement to their living conditions.
In the financial year 2023-24, a total of 718 beneficiaries were identified for the scheme. Of these, 679 houses have already been completed. This achievement marks an important step in rural infrastructure development and welfare efforts within Jammu & Kashmir.
Yasir Ahmed W, the Bhaderwah Block Development Officer, stated that this completion showed the team's dedication and the government's vision of "Housing for All." He added that there was a special focus on poor and tribal families who had previously lived in unsafe conditions. The officer also expressed a commitment to reaching all eligible beneficiaries in the coming months.
