SAEL Industries has announced the commissioning of its maiden solar power project in Rajasthan, spread across more than 1,000 acres in Jalore district. Developed through subsidiary Sunfree Energy RJP1 Pvt Ltd, the project carries a capacity of 200 MW in Alternate Current and 298 MW in Direct Current. The company had signed a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement with Rajasthan Urja Vikas and IT Services Ltd at a tariff of INR 2.61 per kWh.
SAEL Industries, a renewable energy company engaged in agri waste-to-energy, solar module manufacturing, and utility-scale solar initiatives, has commissioned its first solar power project in Rajasthan. The facility, located in the Jalore district, extends over 1,000 acres and marks a significant step in the company's renewable portfolio.
The company conveyed that the solar plant has been developed through its subsidiary, Sunfree Energy RJP1 Pvt Ltd, with a generation capacity of 200 MW in Alternate Current and 298 MW in Direct Current. A 25-year Power Purchase Agreement for the project was signed with Rajasthan Urja Vikas and IT Services Ltd at a fixed tariff of INR 2.61 per kWh.
The project, commissioned ahead of its Scheduled Commercial Operation Date, is designed to enable early transmission and provide an additional supply of power to Rajasthan. By completing the work before schedule, SAEL expects the project to support the state's energy requirements without delay.
SAEL Industries currently holds a renewable energy portfolio exceeding 7.7 GW of independent solar power producer assets across India, reinforcing its position as a key player in the country's clean energy sector.
By bringing the facility online ahead of schedule, the company has underlined its operational efficiency and commitment to strengthening the energy infrastructure of Rajasthan. With a steadily expanding portfolio of over 7.7 GW in solar assets, SAEL continues to position itself as a significant contributor to India's sustainable power transition.
