Rajasthan has taken significant strides towards urban development with the recent launch of eight residential projects aimed at boosting the state's housing sector. Unveiled by Urban Development and Housing Minister Shri Jhabar Singh Kharra, the initiatives reflect the government's concerted effort to enhance housing availability across major cities and smaller urban centres.
The Jaipur Development Authority (JDA) has introduced three plot-based housing schemes designed to drive residential growth in Jaipur's peripheral areas. Ganga Vihar, located near Bassi railway station, offers 233 plots priced at INR 14,000 per square metre. Yamuna Vihar, situated near Chaksu, comprises 232 plots priced at INR 15,500 per square metre. Saraswati Vihar, located in Daulatpura, features 300 plots, also priced at INR 15,500 per square metre. Collectively, these schemes offer 765 plots, with applications open online until mid-June. Plot allocation will be conducted through a lottery system, ensuring a transparent selection process.
Simultaneously, the Rajasthan Housing Board (RHB) has launched five residential schemes spread across Jaipur, Baran, Bundi, and Dholpur, targeting various income segments. Two premium projects in Jaipur, Gulmohar Apartments in Mansarovar and Ganga Apartments in Pratapnagar, are aimed at high-income buyers. Gulmohar Apartments comprises 160 high-income group (HIG) flats priced at INR 9.04 million each, while Ganga Apartments consists of 80 HIG flats, each costing INR 6.12 million.
Beyond Jaipur, RHB has rolled out projects catering to budget-conscious buyers. Gajanpura Yojna in Baran introduces 52 houses with prices starting at INR 800,000. Lakheri Yojna in Bundi offers 122 houses, starting at INR 2.71 million. Bari Road Yojna in Dholpur includes 13 houses, with prices beginning at INR 5 million. Collectively, these schemes add 427 housing units to Rajasthan's residential inventory, reflecting a strategy to encourage urban development across diverse economic segments.
The launch of these projects comes amid increasing demand for affordable and premium housing in Jaipur and surrounding areas. The initiatives underscore the state government's commitment to promoting inclusive urban development by offering a mix of high-end and budget-friendly housing options, thereby attracting a broad spectrum of homebuyers.
