In a significant leadership shift within Maharashtra?s real estate sector, Vikas Jain, the CEO of Labdhi Lifestyle, was recently named President of NAREDCO Maharashtra NextGen ? the youth-driven wing of the National Real Estate Development Council (NAREDCO), Maharashtra. His appointment was made unanimously, signalling confidence in his leadership at a critical time for the industry. Jain, a first-generation real estate developer from Mumbai, has earned a reputation as a turnaround specialist, particularly in reviving stressed projects. His appointment is seen as a strategic move, given the sector?s ambitions to expand to a USD 1 trillion market by 2030. Known for his deep expertise in finance, he is expected to bring a decisive edge to NAREDCO NextGen?s operations.
Beyond his financial acumen, Jain has outlined a progressive and holistic vision for his term. Among his priorities are strengthening compliance with RERA to boost consumer confidence and accountability, as well as embracing technology across all stages of the real estate lifecycle to improve efficiency, transparency, and service quality.
Addressing his new role, Jain conveyed that leading NAREDCO Maharashtra NextGen was a privilege and a chance to empower emerging leaders while addressing key industry challenges. He mentioned that each incoming President typically defines a central theme for the year, and for 2025?26, the focus would be squarely on Finance. This theme aims to enhance the knowledge of industry stakeholders in areas such as capital raising, structuring valuations, and exploring public financing mechanisms.
He emphasised that the sector must work towards building a reliable and transparent investment environment to attract consistent capital inflows. Additionally, he underscored the need for a future-ready and multidimensional strategy that not only targets financial reform but also professionalises management, fosters innovation, and embeds customer-centric practices. His goal, he stated, is to develop a generation of real estate leaders who think like entrepreneurs and act with integrity.
Welcoming the development, Prashant Sharma, President of NAREDCO Maharashtra, noted that Jain?s sharp financial insight, entrepreneurial spirit, and deep industry knowledge make him exceptionally suited to guide the youth wing. He expressed optimism that Jain?s leadership would drive financing-led sectoral growth, nurture new talent, and improve transparency across the board.
Ridham Gada, now Vice-Chairman, also endorsed Jain?s appointment, saying his vision and timely focus on project financing would accelerate meaningful progress for both developers and homebuyers.
Jain?s current role as CEO of Labdhi Lifestyle Limited has seen him successfully establish a strong presence in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR), with projects noted for their timely delivery and quality benchmarks.
