The township also features a 130-acre park and EduTech City, incorporating schools, technical, and medical institutes to offer comprehensive educational opportunities within the residential-community.
The Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) has launched the expansive Anant Nagar Housing Scheme, marking a major milestone in the city's urban development efforts. Inaugurated by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the project aims to deliver modern, high-quality residential infrastructure in Lucknow. Touted as a world-class initiative, the scheme reflects the government's commitment to providing inclusive and well-planned housing solutions.
Spread across 800 acres, the township is being developed with an estimated investment of nearly INR 7,000 crore. Its strategic location near the international airport, Lucknow Ring Road, and the expressway enhances connectivity and positions the project as a prime residential hub. The integrated township model ensures a holistic urban environment, blending residential, educational, and recreational facilities within a single layout.
Designed to house approximately 1.5 lakh residents, the project includes multiple residential formats catering to diverse income groups. There will be 10,000 flats and seven plotted sectors, offering flexible housing options. Special attention has been given to affordability, with 5,000 housing units allocated for the Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) and Lower Income Group (LIG) segments. These units are expected to accommodate over 25,000 individuals. Further strengthening the inclusive vision, 3,000 additional homes will be constructed under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY), extending subsidized housing benefits to eligible applicants.
The scheme is not limited to housing alone. It includes a comprehensive infrastructure plan to support a high quality of life. A 130-acre green space is being developed as a public park, providing residents with a recreational and ecological asset. This open space will serve as a vital component in promoting environmental well-being and community engagement.
Another standout feature of the township is the proposed EduTech City. This innovative educational enclave will host institutions ranging from primary schools to advanced technical and medical colleges. The inclusion of such facilities ensures that residents have direct access to quality education without having to travel outside the township, thus reinforcing the project's integrated living philosophy.
With its focus on affordability, education, and green living, the project is poised to set a new benchmark for residential development in the state capital. The LDA's initiative is expected to significantly boost the city's real estate landscape and improve the standard of living for thousands of future residents.
