The Rajasthan Housing Board (RHB) will launch new housing schemes in April and May across Jaipur, Udaipur, Barmer, Kota, and Hanumangarh, targeting all income groups. Additional projects are planned in Atru, Gajanpura, Nainwa, Lakheri, and Dholpur, with expansions in Jaisalmer and Shahjahanpur. Offering flats and independent houses, the schemes aim to meet housing demand with modern, eco-friendly infrastructure. Allocation will occur via online lotteries for transparency. Basic amenities like roads and water will be ensured before possession. RHB's initiative promotes inclusive, sustainable urban development and aims to improve living standards while easing housing pressure in both urban and underdeveloped areas.
The Rajasthan Housing Board (RHB) is set to launch a series of new housing schemes during April and May this year across five districts: Jaipur, Udaipur, Barmer, Kota, and Hanumangarh. As part of these initiatives, a range of residential properties, including flats and independent houses, will be offered to cater to various income groups, including Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), Low-Income Groups (LIG), Middle-Income Groups (MIG), and High-Income Groups (HIG).
In addition to the major districts, new schemes are also scheduled to be introduced in Atru, Gajanpura, Nainwa, Lakheri, and Dholpur. Plans are underway to expand the scope of housing projects in Jaisalmer and Shahjahanpur, near Neemrana. These developments are being taken up with the aim of meeting the growing housing demands across the state.
According to officials, the upcoming housing projects will be equipped with modern facilities. These are expected to include community spaces, green zones, rainwater harvesting systems, and dedicated parking areas. Efforts will also be made to adopt sustainable construction practices and ensure that the designs are environmentally responsible.
The homes under these schemes will likely be offered through an online lottery system, as has been the practice in earlier projects, to maintain transparency and fairness in the allocation process. Prices for each housing category are expected to be fixed based on location, plot size, and prevailing land values. The board has also made plans to ensure that basic infrastructure, such as roads, electricity, and water supply, will be in place before possession is handed over to buyers.
These housing initiatives are being seen as a step toward supporting urban development and improving living standards in Rajasthan's growing cities and towns. A special focus has been placed on ensuring that the homes are affordable and accessible to first-time buyers and lower-income groups without compromising on quality or infrastructure.
In the long run, the Rajasthan Housing Board's consistent rollout of such schemes is expected to ease the pressure on urban housing demand and contribute to better-planned urban expansion. With projects being extended to less-developed areas like Shahjahanpur and Jaisalmer, the benefits of planned housing will also be more evenly distributed across the state.
