Synopsis

The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has extended the deadline for its 'Sabka Ghar Awaas Yojana 2025' and 'Shramik Awaas Yojana 2025' housing schemes to April 30, 2025, in response to high public interest. Both schemes offer discounted rates on unsold flats in areas like Narela, Siraspur, and Loknayakpuram. Bookings for the remaining flats reopened on April 9 and will remain open until the new deadline. The move aims to promote affordable housing in Delhi by giving potential buyers more time to apply and benefit from financial incentives.

The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has extended the application deadline for its two flagship housing schemes, 'Sabka Ghar Awaas Yojana 2025' and 'Shramik Awaas Yojana 2025, ' till April 30, 2025. This extension comes in light of the strong public response and interest shown in the offerings under both schemes. Bookings for the remaining unsold flats under these schemes, which reopened on April 9, will now be accepted until midnight on April 30.

The DDA is offering substantial discounts to make the purchase of homes more attractive and accessible. A 25% discount is available on flats in Narela across the EWS, LIG, MIG, and HIG categories, as well as on LIG flats in Siraspur and Loknayakpuram. Additionally, a 20% discount is being provided on MIG flats in Loknayakpuram for eligible disadvantaged sections of society.

These schemes, launched as part of the authority's drive to boost affordable housing and clear unsold inventory, provide a viable opportunity for prospective homeowners to secure a property in the national capital. The DDA has simplified the booking process through its official portal, offering detailed information about eligibility, flat specifications, and payment terms.

By extending the deadline and continuing to offer significant price concessions, the DDA aims to reach a wider base of applicants and facilitate increased home ownership in Delhi's peripheral regions.

The DDA's decision to extend the housing scheme deadline till the end of April is expected to provide a boost to its affordable housing initiatives. With attractive discounts on offer and more time for applicants to complete their bookings, the move is likely to increase participation and reduce unsold inventory. As housing demand continues to rise in the capital, this extension could prove beneficial for both buyers and the authority's broader objective of expanding access to low-cost housing in Delhi.
