The Jaipur Development Authority (JDA) saw a massive response to its recent residential schemes, receiving 1.52 lakh applications for 716 plots, earning INR 15.23 crore in application fees. Govind Vihar, Atal Vihar, and Patel Nagar schemes were particularly popular, drawing thousands of applicants, including transgender individuals. Buoyed by this success, JDA announced three new schemes in Mansharampura, Kardhani, and Bainad, offering 850 plots. This follows a trend of high demand for JDA projects, including those under the Mukhyamantri Jan Awas Yojana. Jaipur's rapid urban growth and improving infrastructure in areas like Jhotwara and Bassi drive this demand, attracting both homebuyers and investors.
Jaipur Development Authority (JDA) has received an overwhelming response for the residential schemes it launched recently, with the response for the Atal Vihar, Govind Vihar, and Patel Nagar residential schemes being exceptional. Against the availability of just 716 residential units, the civic body received 1.52 lakh application forms. The application fee for the forms was INR 1,000, and it is non-refundable for those not selected in the lottery process. The authority has reportedly earned INR 15.23 crore.
Officials revealed that the Govind Vihar scheme, offering 202 plots, attracted over 75,000 applications. Similarly, nearly 50,000 applications were received for Atal Vihar, which consists of 284 plots. Meanwhile, the Patel Nagar scheme, comprising 270 plots, saw 52,305 applications. Approximately 50 transgender individuals have also submitted applications across these three projects.
Following this huge response, the authority announced three new residential schemes in Mansharampura in Jhotwara, Kardhani in Bassi, and Bainad in Daulatpura. Collectively, these schemes will offer 850 residential plots. JDA is expected to reveal application dates for these projects in the coming days.
This is not the first instance of JDA's residential schemes receiving an overwhelming response. Over the years, projects such as Anand Vihar, Rohini Nagar, and Surya Nagar have attracted high participation from homebuyers. Similarly, earlier initiatives in Prithviraj Nagar and Gokul Nagar saw a surplus of applications, reaffirming the strong preference for JDA-planned developments.
Additionally, JDA has launched budget-friendly housing projects under the Mukhyamantri Jan Awas Yojana (MMJAY) to cater to lower-income groups. Initiatives like Grah Laxmi Yojana also received lakhs of applications for a limited number of plots, reinforcing the consistent demand for JDA schemes.
Jaipur has been experiencing rapid urban growth, with localities such as Jhotwara, Bassi, and Daulatpura becoming key hubs for residential expansion due to improving connectivity and infrastructure. These areas have consistently witnessed real estate appreciation, making JDA projects appealing not only to end-users but also to investors seeking long-term gains.
