The Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) plans to fast-track land acquisition for various housing projects in the city. Key areas such as IT City, Wellness City, and Sitapur Road are under consideration. The authority intends to acquire land for the development of the Lucknow-Sultanpur national highway and other infrastructure projects through consent-based purchases and land pooling. Additionally, the board will address the conversion of residential properties to commercial ones and the installation of electric vehicle charging points, along with other issues related to land acquisition and permissions.
The Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) is actively working towards expediting the process of land acquisition to support several upcoming housing projects spread across various key locations in the city. This issue, along with other significant matters, is set to be addressed during the LDA's board meeting, which is scheduled for Wednesday.
The board meeting is expected to bring clarity and make important decisions regarding land acquisition for a range of residential schemes. The acquisition of land from the forest department, which is necessary for a 60-metre road linking the Mohan Road scheme to the outer ring road, will also be discussed. This road project aims to improve connectivity and enhance the urban infrastructure in the area. The plan includes not only purchasing or acquiring land through consensus but also reclaiming land that is already registered with the state government, to ensure smooth implementation of the Mohan Road scheme.
In an effort to make the city more eco-friendly and aligned with modern transport needs, the Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL) proposal for the installation of electric vehicle (EV) charging points will also be deliberated upon. This is part of a larger initiative to promote sustainable urban transport and provide the necessary infrastructure for the growing number of electric vehicles in the city.
The meeting will also discuss the approval process for converting residential properties into commercial properties. This is expected to provide more flexibility in the use of land and buildings, catering to the evolving needs of businesses in the city.
