Synopsis

The Jaipur Development Authority (JDA) reclaimed 40 bighas of government land valued at INR 60 crore in Anantpura village, originally designated for group housing projects. Encroachers, primarily local farmers, had set up cattle sheds, slums, and fences on the land. JDA's enforcement team, led by Chief Controller Adarsh Chaudhary and DIG Kailash Chandra Bishnoi, executed the clearance with additional police support. Since October 2024, the JDA has recovered 359 bighas of encroached land across various zones. Citizens are urged to report illegal occupations, reinforcing the authority's mission to safeguard land for planned developments.

The Jaipur Development Authority (JDA) moved quickly earlier this week to clear 40 bighas of government land in Anantpura village of unlawful encroachments, worth INR 60 crore. Originally, this specific plot of land was designated for a collective housing development.

Authorities were informed that local farmers had seized the land illegally, according to JDA Deputy Inspector General of Police Kailash Chandra Bishnoi. In addition to building cattle sheds, tin sheds and thatched-roofed slums, the encroachers had been farming the land and erecting wooden fences in roughly thirty different places. The enforcement team took action after learning of this information, clearing the encroachments and restoring the area to its original purpose.

With the assistance of an extra police force supplied by the Police Commissionerate, the operation was conducted under the direction of Adarsh Chaudhary, the Chief Controller for Enforcement, and the Deputy Controller of Enforcement-II. The Chomu police station's local officers took part in the event as well.

The JDA's larger effort to safeguard government land includes this operation in Anantpura. The JDA's enforcement team has cleared 359 bighas of government land from unlawful encroachment in a variety of zones since October 2024. A major component of the JDA's efforts to clear land for planned development initiatives, such group housing plans, is the effective clearance of encroachments.

Additionally, Bishnoi urged the people to actively assist the ongoing effort to prevent illegal encroachments. He urged the public to report any unlawful land occupation or construction-related activity by visiting the enforcement office, contacting the JDA control room, or submitting emails.

The Jaipur Development Authority's dedication to recovering valuable land for necessary development projects is demonstrated by the eviction of encroachments from 40 bighas of government land in Anantpura village. Since October 2024, 359 bighas of land have been cleaned as part of a broader operation. In order to preserve the integrity of the land and guarantee that it is utilised for its original purposes, the JDA's aggressive enforcement actions are essential. The effectiveness of this ongoing initiative depends on public assistance in reporting illegal actions, and citizens are encouraged to support these efforts.
