The Ranchi Municipal Corporation (RMC) has unveiled an ambitious urban redevelopment plan for 2025, focusing on improving roads, traffic flow, and public cleanliness. A comprehensive physical survey will categorize roads across 53 city wards into four conditions-"Good" to "Very Poor"-to prioritize repairs. Parks, monuments, and public spaces will receive upgrades, supported by cleanliness drives to enhance the city's appeal. To decongest roads, RMC will implement stricter measures against encroachments and traffic violations. Within three days, a report on roads, sidewalks, and drainage will be submitted for government approval. The initiative reflects RMC's commitment to creating a cleaner, more organized, and livable Ranchi.
Ranchi Municipal Corporation (RMC) has announced a fresh urban redevelopment plan to transform the city in 2025. The initiative prioritises preparing roads, improving traffic flow, and launching citywide cleanliness campaigns.
RMC will conduct a detailed physical survey of roads in all 53 city wards. Teams of engineers and supervisors will classify roads into four categories: "Good," "Average," "Poor," or "Very Poor." This assessment will help create action plans for repairs. RMC Deputy Commissioner Sanjay Kumar stated that improving Ranchi's infrastructure is a priority and emphasised completing it on time.
Parks, monuments, and public areas will also receive attention under the redevelopment plan. Maintenance work and regular cleanliness drives will ensure these spaces remain tidy and welcoming. Clean public spaces, RMC believes, not only make the city more attractive but also improve the quality of life for everyone.
To ease traffic and curb encroachments, RMC will launch strict measures against the rule-breakers. These efforts aim to decongest roads and make daily commuting smoother for residents. Within three days, RMC will prepare a report on roads, sidewalks, and drainage systems. This will be submitted to the government for further guidance and approval.
With these steps, RMC is working to create a cleaner, more organized city in 2025. The redevelopment plan shows its dedication to improving the city for residents.
