Municipal authorities, in coordination with HYDRAA, demolished illegal commercial structures at the Anuhar Morning Raga apartments in Manikonda municipality's Alkapur Township. Municipal authorities recently demolished unlawful commercial buildings at the Anuhar Morning Raga apartments in cooperation with HYDRAA. The apartments were located in Alkapur township in the Manikonda municipality area.


According to a report by TNN, residents of 38 apartments had been complaining about the ground floor's illegal usage of residential areas for business purposes for three years. Their initial complaints about the abuse of permissions were brought to the attention of the Narsingi police station. AV Ranganath, the HYDRAA commissioner, met with the builder and the villagers during his site inspection two weeks ago. Notwithstanding the builder's denial of extortion charges, an inquiry turned up some infractions, such as the unapproved conversion of residential sections into commercial spaces.

The usage of elevation corridors as bank strong rooms was also discovered during the inspection, endangering the building's structural stability and resulting in obvious fissures. Citing other events involving battery charging stations, residents voiced worries about safety. The builder disregarded notices about the unauthorised conversion in spite of several warnings.

The Manikonda municipality attested that the builder had received multiple notices prior to the demolition, including demolition orders and show-cause notices. The authorities made it clear that the action was done to address safety concerns and restore the building's residential integrity.

The destruction, which was overseen by HYDRAA, serves as a warning about the repercussions of breaking building codes. Because it addressed their long-standing worries about safety and the appropriate use of residential spaces, the decision was warmly received by the locals.

The municipal officials emphasised the significance of following zoning laws and guaranteeing the safety of residential communities by firmly opposing unapproved construction.
