AISECT, a prominent social enterprise in India dedicated to education, skills development, and financial inclusion, has established a partnership with Uttarakhand Gramin Bank to serve as its Corporate Business Correspondent. This agreement, formalised in Dehradun, expands AISECT's network to nine banking institutions focused on enhancing financial services in rural areas. With over 7,300 kiosks and 1 crore bank accounts opened, AISECT plays a crucial role in bridging the financial divide and empowering marginalised communities. AISECT, India's leading social enterprise focused on education, skills development, and financial inclusion, has been appointed by Uttarakhand Gramin Bank as the Corporate Business Correspondent to advance financial inclusion in Uttarakhand. This collaboration was formalised during a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) exchange ceremony held at the bank's headquarters in Dehradun, expanding AISECT's network to nine banking institutions dedicated to improving financial services in rural regions.
The MoU exchange ceremony featured prominent representatives, including Ms. Amita Raturi, General Manager of Uttarakhand Gramin Bank; Mr. Liyakat Khokhar, Zonal Head at AISECT; and Mr. Siddharth Dongre, FI Lead at AISECT Limited. This partnership represents a strategic initiative to address the urgent need for financial services in rural areas, where banking access has historically been limited.
AISECT has demonstrated its commitment to financial inclusion since its establishment. With over 7,300 kiosks set up in rural and semi-urban regions, AISECT has facilitated the opening of more than 1 crore bank accounts and enabled transactions totalling INR66,000 crore. Through collaborations with major banks, AISECT has played a crucial role in bridging the financial divide, ensuring that even the most marginalized communities can engage in the formal economy.
