Kangana Ranaut sells bungalow in Bandra's Pali Hill for 32 crore

Synopsis

Bollywood actor and BJP MP Kangana Ranaut has sold her Pali Hill bungalow in Mumbai for INR 32 crore to Kamalini Holdings. The ground-plus-three-storey property, spanning 3,075 square feet with a 565 square feet garage, was sold at INR 1.04 lakh per square foot. Ranaut had bought the property in 2017 for INR 20.7 crore and converted it into an office for her production house, Manikarnika Films. Despite being partially demolished by BMC in 2020 due to structural violations, the property's value grew significantly as reflected in its sale price. The Pali Hill area is known for housing Bollywood celebrities and high-end luxury properties.

The bungalow owned by BJP MP and Bollywood actor Kangana Ranaut in Mumbai's posh Pali Hill neighbourhood has been sold for INR 32 crore. Due to a violation of the structure, the bungalow sparked controversy and became a political issue. The bungalow was partially demolished in 2020 by BMC. The ground-plus-three-storey property features a total built-up area of 3,075 square feet, which includes a parking garage of 565 square feet. It has been sold to Kamalini Holdings at a rate of INR 1.04 lakh per square foot based on the built-up area.


Ranaut purchased the property in September 2017 for INR 20.7 crore and it was changed over into the workplace for Manikarnika Movies, production house of the actor house. It is in the posh Pali Hill neighbourhood of Bandra West. In December 2022, the actor also secured the property with a INR 27 crore loan. The complete return for the property remained at 55% with a Build Yearly Development Pace of 6.4 percent. The purchaser of the property has been identified as Shweta Bathija, a partner in Kamalini Possessions, situated in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu.

Recently, in May 2024, Kangana Ranaut claimed her networth was approximately INR 91 crore of which around INR 62.9 crore was in fixed assets. The actress had also recently paid INR 1.56 crore for an office space in Mumbai's Andheri neighbourhood, in addition to the bungalow in Pali Hill. The workplace, situated on the nineteenth floor of a structure named Curve One, ranges 407 sq ft and was purchased for INR 38,391 per square foot.

Pali Hill is famous for having a lot of Bollywood stars and wealthy people living there. The area has consistently drawn in top-level purchasers, with extravagance property costs frequently crossing INR 1 lakh for every sq ft, as per neighborhood agents. Famous people, for example, the late Sunil Dutt, Nargis Dutt, Rishi Kapoor, and Aamir Khan all have their own properties in this posh locality, adding to the area's appeal.
