Following sustained protests and civic pressure, MMRDA has approved a realignment of the Borivli twin tunnel entry and exit points in Thane's Mulla Baug area. The first trial run of Metro Line-9, a crucial metro corridor connecting Mira-Bhayander to Mumbai's western and eastern suburbs as well as the international airport, commenced earlier this week.
