Noida Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC) has announced the leasing of commercial spaces at three Aqua Line stations Sector 81, Sector 83, and Depot to enhance non-fare revenue. Units range from 26 sqm to 315 sqm and can be used for diverse commercial purposes, except those restricted by NMRC. The 15-year lease applications are due by early January. Aqua Line currently serves nearly 69,000 passengers daily. NMRC is also advancing network expansions and a pedestrian skywalk between Sector 51 and Sector 52 stations to improve connectivity in the Noida-Greater Noida region.Read more

The Supreme Court has ordered the SIT investigating Noida land compensation irregularities to include former CEOs and senior officials in its probe. The Greater Noida Authority has finalised alignments for two major projects-the Multimodal Transport Hub (MMTH) at Bodaki and the Multimodal Logistics Hub (MMLH) at Dadri-aimed at strengthening regional mobility and freight connectivity. The 117-hectare MMTH will integrate metro, rail and bus terminals, linked by a 1.8 km elevated metro line from the Greater Noida Depot. It will serve long-distance trains to eastern India and provide commercial and transport infrastructure across two planned zones. The 311-hectare MMLH will directly connect to the Dedicated Freight Corridor via a 3 km rail spur, enabling faster cargo movement. The Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA) has launched a major commercial property scheme, offering 37 plots worth a combined INR 3,604 crore through e-auction. The Noida Authority has suspended all non-essential construction works following the implementation of Stage III of the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) by the Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM). The Noida International Airport at Jewar is poised to benefit from a multi-modal access network combining road, rail and bus links, according to the Government of Uttar Pradesh. The airport, already linked to the Yamuna Expressway, will also connect to the Delhi�Mumbai Expressway and the Eastern Peripheral Expressway. A detailed project report has been approved for a rail corridor and a new station on the high-speed Delhi�Varanasi line is being included. Bus and electric-bus services will link nearby cities and metro networks, while ride-hailing and car rental ties are in place.
