IRB Infrastructure reported toll revenues of INR 716 crore for November, a 16% rise from INR 618 crore a year earlier. The figure includes collections from both its InvIT platforms - the IRB InvIT Fund and the IRB Infrastructure Trust. Higher traffic across several BOT and TOT assets drove the growth. The IRB MP Expressway remained the top contributor at INR 158.6 crore, followed by the Ahmedabad-Vadodara Super Expressway at INR 78.1 crore and Hyderabad's Golconda Expressway at INR 77.6 crore. Deputy CEO Amitabh Murarka said strong GDP growth, year-end travel and steady economic activity are supporting robust toll momentum. IRB manages 22 highway assets across more than 12 states.Read more

The government informed Parliament that rooftop solar systems have been installed in 23.96 lakh households under the PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana, amounting to nearly 24% of the one-crore target set for FY2026-27. More than 53 lakh applications have been submitted so far, with over 7,075 MW of capacity installed across the residential sector nationwide.Read more

The BMC has fined contractor S P Singla INR 2.09 crore for delaying Phase 3 of the GMLR flyover. Completion at Goregaon is now expected in May 2026, while only one arm of the Mulund side is scheduled to open by May 31, 2026, with the rest following later. Delays are mainly due to utility relocations and encroachments. Work continues with most pillars erected on the Goregaon side. The Forest Department has cleared Package 2 of the Mysuru-Kushalnagar National Highway project, allowing work to begin on the 22.7-km stretch between Guddehosur and the Hassan-Periyapatna Road Junction. This segment is part of the 92.3-km highway that aims to reduce travel time between Mysuru and Kushalnagar to under 1.5 hours. Over 85% of the required land is already available, including compensation for 8.3 km of forest land. While Package 1 remains on hold due to environmental concerns, the updated project timeline indicates expected completion by June 2027.Read more

Ahead of the Bhopal Metro launch, the BMC conducted a large-scale anti-encroachment drive, targeting illegal shops, street stalls, and obstructive structures across multiple localities. Items seized included carts, stools, tables, signboards, lights, and iron frames. The drive focused on areas along the metro route, including the AIIMS approach road, Ashoka Garden, Jawahar Chowk, Bhadbhada Road, and Hamidia Road, aiming to improve pedestrian movement and traffic flow. Odisha's Chief Minister Shri Mohan Charan Majhi announced development projects worth more than INR 3,700 crore for Keonjhar district during a recent visit. The plan covers road upgradation, civic infrastructure, industrial facilities, and redevelopment of the Maa Tarini temple complex. Key projects include a four-lane ring road around Barbil, a bypass for Keonjhar town, a tech park, a data centre, a textile park, and upgrades to the Raisuan airstrip and Keonjhar stadium. Vingroup, Vietnam's largest conglomerate, has moved forward with a plan to invest USD 3 billion in Telangana to build a multi-sector ecosystem spanning smart urban development, electric mobility, healthcare, education, tourism and renewable energy. The agreement with the state government covers around 2,500 hectares and represents the group's largest potential investment outside Vietnam. The development strengthens Vingroup's growing presence in India, where VinFast already operates a facility in Tamil Nadu and recently announced an additional USD500 million expansion. Haryana has strengthened its clean energy plans with new directions from Chief Minister Shri Nayab Singh Saini, who instructed officials to equip all government buildings with rooftop solar systems. The state has completed 42,486 rooftop solar systems so far and is targeting 2,22,000 installations by March 2027.
