IndianOil Total Pvt Ltd (ITPL), a joint venture between Indian Oil Corporation and TotalEnergies Marketing Services SAS, has started operations at its new greenfield bitumen derivatives plant in Gummidipoondi near Chennai. The facility, commissioned earlier this month, will produce PMB, CRMB, NRMB and bitumen emulsions to support road and infrastructure projects across southern states. The plant, built with automated systems and global safety standards, is expected to strengthen supply reliability, reduce logistics time, and cater to major works under NHAI, state highways, industrial corridors and urban development programmes.Read more

Arnifi, a Dubai-based entity setup and management platform, has expanded its India presence with a new office in Bangalore as part of its broader India strategy. Founder Manu Midha said the company plans to hire over 100 professionals and invest heavily in technology and talent to support Indian firms looking to establish entities overseas. Z-Tech (India) has signed a deal to acquire a 76 percent stake in Grace Green Infra Pvt Ltd, turning it into a subsidiary and strengthening its position in the water-treatment segment. The acquisition brings in Ministry of Jal Shakti-certified technologies, including the Grace Vermi-Filtration system, packaged FRP sewage-treatment plants, and nanobubble bio-remediation for lake rejuvenation. Grace Green Infra also holds an unexecuted order book of about INR 22 crore, giving Z-Tech better revenue visibility and supporting its wider push into sustainable and long-term water-management solutions.Read more

The Finance Ministry's Monthly Economic Review for October reports that GST rate rationalisation has boosted consumption by raising disposable incomes and easing inflation, which fell to a record 0.25% in October. Lower GST on 375 items and consolidation of multiple slabs into 5% and 18% have reduced prices for most daily-use goods. High-frequency indicators-such as stronger e-way bill volumes, festive automobile sales, UPI transactions and tractor demand-point to broad-based improvement across urban and rural markets. The ministry expects the full impact of tax cuts to emerge over the next two quarters. Despite global uncertainties, stable inflation, healthy corporate performance and ongoing labour reforms are expected to support India's growth outlook through FY26.Read more

Bisleri International has entered a long-term renewable Power Purchase Agreement with Sunsure Energy to shift a major share of its Sahibabad facility's electricity consumption to solar energy. The partnership is expected to help the company meet 48% of its power requirement through renewable sources and reduce around 2,700 tons of CO? emissions every year. Sunsure will supply clean energy from its 82.5 MWp solar plant in Erach, Uttar Pradesh. The development also reflects Sunsure's growing presence in the state, where it recently commissioned its 10th solar plant and expanded its open-access capacity to over 260 MWp.Read more

India's civil aviation sector received a significant push as the government highlighted its ambition to build the country into a global centre for aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services. The Civil Aviation Minister noted that shifting MRO work to India could help save nearly USD 15 billion in foreign exchange over the coming years. With domestic airlines ordering more than 1,500 aircraft and the local MRO market projected to reach USD 4 billion by 2031, the sector is gaining strategic importance. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi inaugurated the Safran Aircraft Engine Services India (SAESI) facility in Hyderabad, which will be operational in 2026. With an initial investment of INR 1,300 crore, the facility is designed to service LEAP engines used in Airbus A320neo and Boeing 737 MAX aircraft. It will employ over 1,000 skilled Indian technicians and engineers and handle up to 300 engines annually. The initiative aims to strengthen India's indigenous MRO capabilities, reduce foreign exchange outflows, support the rapidly growing aviation sector, and position the country as a global aviation hub.Read more

JK Lakshmi Cement has announced an investment of INR 1,816 crore to expand its production capacity in Chhattisgarh. The plan includes increasing clinker capacity by 2.31 MTPA and cement grinding capacity by 1.2 MTPA. The agreement was finalised at an investor event held in New Delhi in the presence of the state's Chief Minister. The company, which has operated an integrated plant in Durg since 2015, aims to strengthen supply across Eastern and Central India and move closer to its long-term goal of reaching a total capacity of about 30 MTPA.Read more
