Jakson Group has begun its INR 8,000-crore investment to build a 6 GW integrated solar manufacturing facility in Madhya Pradesh. The project's first phase, for which groundwork was laid earlier this past week, includes 3 GW of cell and 4 GW of module manufacturing capacity. Over the next three years, the company plans to develop 6 GW capacities each for ingot, wafer, cell and solar modules, creating about 4,000 jobs. The first phase alone will involve INR 2,000 crore and generate around 1,700 jobs. State leadership emphasized that the initiative supports local employment and India's clean-energy goals.Read more

Chief Minister Shri N. Chandrababu Naidu virtually inaugurated five industrial units in Sri City during the 30th CII Partnership Summit in Visakhapatnam, while the state signed agreements for 12 new projects worth INR 2,320 crore across engineering, food processing and pharmaceuticals. These ventures are expected to create 12,365 jobs. Naidu said Sri City had become India's leading industrial township, home to global manufacturers like Daikin, Isuzu and Cadbury, and noted that Andhra Pradesh has already cleared INR 8.8 lakh crore in investments from several countries. He announced plans to allot 6,000 more acres and develop an airstrip, positioning Sri City as a major hub expected to employ 1.5 lakh people.Read more

NTPC has outlined a broad nuclear expansion plan involving 700 MW, 1,000 MW and 1,600 MW projects across multiple states. The company aims to contribute 30 GW to India's proposed 100 GW nuclear target by 2047 and is assessing land in Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar and Andhra Pradesh. Inox Wind Ltd has received a 100 MW turbine supply order from a major green-energy transition platform for its projects in Gujarat. The order includes supplying 3.3 MW wind turbines, limited-scope Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) services, and long-term Operations and Maintenance (O&M) support after commissioning. The company recently secured 229 MW of additional orders, taking its total order inflow in FY26 to nearly 400 MW. An auction held this past week in Mumbai for 11 properties belonging to fugitive gangster Dawood Ibrahim saw no bidders turning up. The Income Tax Department had organised the sale to recover part of Dawood's pending tax dues, estimated at around INR 45 crore. The properties, located mainly in south Mumbai's Nagpada and Mohammed Ali Road areas, carried a combined reserve price of INR 1.2 crore and an assessed value of nearly INR 5 crore. The state government of Andhra Pradesh has entered a memorandum of understanding with US-based infrastructure firm Tillman Global Holdings to develop a 300 MW hyperscale data centre campus named TDGAP1 in Visakhapatnam, with an investment of INR 15,000 crore over the next 12 months. The 40-acre project is expected to generate 200�300 direct jobs and 800�1,000 indirect jobs by 2028, enhancing the region�s standing as a digital hub.
