The Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) has initiated an extensive post-monsoon cleanliness and dust control drive across the city. Under the direction of Municipal Commissioner Dr Kailash Shinde, five advanced dust suppression vehicles are operating continuously in three shifts, spraying treated water and cleaning major roads and footpaths. The Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) has issued a public notice urging all business owners operating within its jurisdiction to renew their trade licences through the corporation's online platform. The renewal applies to establishments such as hotels, eateries, sweet shops, beauty parlours, barbershops, and similar businesses governed under Section 376 of the Maharashtra Municipal Corporations Act. Traders have been advised to complete the online application process before the end of December to avoid penalties for non-renewal under the relevant provisions of the Act.Read more

The operator of the Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMIA) and Apollo Hospitals have signed an agreement to deliver round-the-clock medical services for both airport staff and passengers. Apollo Hospitals will establish multiple 24x7 medical centres at Terminal 1, with emergency medical support and disaster-management facilities staffed by Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support-certified professionals. Two fully equipped intensive-care ambulances will be stationed on-site, and 65 automated external defibrillators will also be placed throughout the terminals. Commercial flight operations at NMIA are expected to begin shortly.Read more

Air India Express will begin operations from the upcoming Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMIA) with five daily flights connecting major metro cities Delhi, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, and Kolkata. The airline plans to expand to 20 daily departures after initial operations begin. In September, the airline announced 40 daily domestic flights in its first phase, connecting 15 cities. Samhi Hotels Ltd announced that the Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) has approved an extension to the development timeline for its 700-room hotel project near Navi Mumbai International Airport and DY Patil Stadium. The first phase of the development will include 400 rooms.
