The Maharashtra government has extended its special amnesty scheme for residential Nazul land leaseholders in the Nagpur and Amravati divisions for another year, until July 31, 2026. The Navsari Municipal Corporation has launched a large-scale enforcement drive against unauthorised construction, following inspections at nearly 200 under-construction sites. Of these, 40 were found lacking the required permissions. Owners have been served notices and instructed to submit sanctioned building plans, layout drawings, survey records and 7/12 extracts within five days. Non-compliance may result in demolition or legal action.
